Swiss Post: forwarding order
The Post forwarding order ensures that your letters and parcels are forwarded to the new address. You can set it up conveniently online on the Post’s website – ideally a few days before the move.
Authorities and mandatory notifications
Registration at the residents’ registration office of the new municipality is required by law – usually within 14 days. Many municipalities offer this digitally via E-UMZUG. Don’t forget Serafe (radio and TV levy) either.

Insurance, telecom and subscriptions
Remember all ongoing contracts and subscriptions. With telecom providers like Swisscom, Sunrise or Wingo, the address can usually be changed online in your customer account.

Do I have to inform Serafe about the move separately?
The address change is partly forwarded automatically via the residents’ registration office. Still, check your Serafe account to be safe, so the radio and TV levy stays correctly assigned.
